This policy explains how UltraOne handles personal data. UltraOne is a trading name of Ultra Cyber Networks Ltd. Ultra Cyber Networks Ltd is the data controller for the data described here.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, company, vessel details and anything else you include in your message.
- Customers: contact details, the vessel and products licensed, licence keys, and support history.
- Software operation: technical data the software needs to run on the vessel, such as device names, network addresses and logs. This is processed on behalf of the vessel’s owner or operator.
- Website: standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and pages visited, kept for security.
Payments
Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
Why we use it
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotations, based on steps you ask us to take before a contract.
- To provide, install and support the software, to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting, as the law requires.
- To keep our website and systems secure, which is in our legitimate interests.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only with Paddle, for payments, and with service providers who host our systems and email, under contracts that protect it. We may disclose data when the law requires it. Where data leaves the UK, we use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 2 years and customer records for 6 years after the last licence ends, as required for tax. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, and you can object to how we use it. Email support@ultraone.co. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
